Developing Strategies that Engage Your Generationally Diverse Staff – Meeting Staff Retention and Recruitment Goals


Purpose

Individuals want to work for organizations with corporate values that align with their personal values and where they will be supported in their professional growth. CBHOs have historically met these expectations, but with increasing competition and financial uncertainty it has become more challenging to recruit and retain top talent.   Behavioral Health organizations need to implement strategies that demonstrate their commitment to current employees and potential new hires.  This includes ensuring their processes and practices align with the needs of a generationally diverse staff. 

MTM’s Recruitment and Retention Strategies Module will provide an objective review of the current practices within the organization and will work with a project team to design a plan for implementing the needed changes to facilitate effective engagement with staff and job applicants.

Process

  • Planning meeting with project team to review written plan of roles, responsibilities, and time frames related to the project

  • Analysis of current hiring and retention practices

  • Review of recruitment and retention stages and strategies to maintain diverse, effective, high quality teams

  • Creating a plan to redesign recruitment and retention processes throughout the organization including a project management outline that addresses the implementation timeline, communication plan, training needs and maintenance strategies

Timeframe: 6-8 months
