Purpose

Stress, misfortune, and tragedy are universal experiences that can lead to growth, resilience, and the development of empathy. They can also cause significant distress resulting in individuals, groups and organizations developing maladaptive approaches and destructive strategies to managing adversity. When individuals and groups experience trauma, their strengths and maladaptive responses will determine their ability to cope, respond and move forward.  

MTM will provide training on essential strategies for developing a Trauma Informed Organization (TIO) and will work with a multidisciplinary team within the organization to evaluate the current work environment.  This team will create a plan for implementing strategies that will lead to increased psychological safety, client and staff satisfaction, staff retention, fiscal sustainability and growth.

Process

  • Planning meeting with leadership and project team to review written plan of roles, responsibilities, and time frames related to the project

  • Essential Training in TIO Strategies

  • Analysis of work environment and development of a customized plan for implementing TIO strategies

  • Customized report of findings with recommendations

Timeframe: 3 months
