Medical Directors - transformational change agents driving service integration and fidelity to Evidence Based Practices


Purpose

Medical Directors are essential members of the C-suite Decision Making Team in successful CBHOs. They have been trained to be system focused, recognizing the importance of best practices and departmental alignment in effective and efficient service delivery which leads to better care and better outcomes for individuals served.

This module is designed to work with Leadership Teams and New Medical Directors as they transition to an active role in senior leadership.  The MTM Consultant works with  the leadership team to define the role of the Medical Director within the organization and provide coaching for the Medical Director as they assuming their new role as a transformational change agent.

Process

  • Planning meeting with Leadership Team and Medical Director to design the scope of the consultation and review a written plan of roles, responsibilities, and time frames related to the project

  • Monthly Meetings with the Medical Director which may include other leadership team members as appropriate

Timeframe: 6 months

● Increased Service Integration, utilization of best practices, and practice standardization
